Question by Ava: Who are you to tell other Christians that they aren’t true a Christian?
Now I know not every Christian singles others of their group out as true and untrue christians, but I have heard many people say, “oh they aren’t true christians” just because they do things a bit differently or you know they sin once and a while or they don’t act humble or something. But to those people who do say these things to others, what gives you the right to say who is truly christian and who isn’t? Are you God?

(I’m not christian but I have seen this a lot and it confuses me.)

I was not raised in the church and am in the process of converting. I’m really excited and for the last few months I have been learning a lot about specific teachings. I would never have become a christian if not for my girlfriend and I really love her but…

The more I learn about my new faith the more it becomes apparent my girlfriend is not the best example of a true Christian. She does a lot of community service, is kind and caring, and helpful to everyone but she ignores numerous teachings from scripture. Like for example fornication. We dated for a few months before I began to convert and during that time we engaged in sexual relations. After I learned about the Bible’s stance I have tried my best to abstain but she is making it so difficult.

What should I do? I don’t want to break up with her and I am not ready to get married yet.

Its true I probably would never have become a Christian if not for my girlfriend but its something I definitely want. Its like a hole in my heart has been filled.

I don’t want to make it seem like my girlfriend is evil or anything like that. She is a genuinely nice girl who never hurts anyone but she is so wrong on this issue. She tells me that the Bible should not always be taken literally and there is some leeway. Is this accurate?

I have a Bible study group of around 12 single women meet in my home every week. We do more “in-depth” studies (ie. Beth Moore, Jennifer Rothschild, etc.). I have been seeking a Bible Study that has been written specifically for Christian Single Women, and can’t really find any. I have found a few that might suffice for a Sunday School setting, but not for our group. We use materials that include daily individual study throughout the week. Does anyone have any ideas?
